Apple Pie Oatmeal

Many instant oatmeal packets are loaded with added sugar. It’s easy enough to flavor your own. This apple pie oatmeal is naturally sweetened with apple slices and cinnamon. And who thought you couldn’t have dessert for breakfast! 

Ingredients

½ cup quick-cooking or rolled oats

1 cup water

1 medium apple, sliced or diced

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 tbsp. walnuts or pecans 

Dash of salt

Directions

Mix all ingredients together in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes. Stir and enjoy.
