Pineapple Avocado Burger

Grilled pineapple rings, a slightly spicy avocado spread and a pretzel bun complete the tantalizing twist on the classic summer burger.
Ingredients
- 4 Pretzel buns
- 4 Pineapple rings
Burger
- 1lb ground beef
- 1 T chipotle powder
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 t onion powder
- 1/2 t coarse sea salt
- 1/2 t black pepper
Avocado Cream
- Two avocados
- 1/2 T lime juice
- 1 t lemon juice
- 1 T hot sauce of choice
- 1 t chipotle powder
- 1 t olive oil
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- • Combine ground beef, chipotle powder, minced garlic cloves, onion powder, coarse sea salt and black pepper in a bowl. Mix very well.
- • Avocado Cream: Cut, skin and de-seed two avocados, combing in a food processor with lime juice, lemon juice, hot sauce, chipotle powder, olive oil and a pinch of salt. Thouroughly mix and place into a container for serving.
- • Patty out ground beef, slice four circles of cored pineapple and slice a yellow onion.
- • Place burgers on the grill over medium-high heat and cook to desired doneness.
- • Place pineapple circles on the grill and cook for 2-4 minutes per side, remove when grill marks appear.
- • Once burgers are done, place on a pretzel bun, garnish with avocado cream spread, onion and a grilled pineapple ring.
