Sarah Saunders didn’t consider herself athletic at all. She did, however, have a thing for researching diets and workouts. After joining her local YMCA, she decided to pursue and complete her master’s degree in exercise science. With her newly minted education, she left insurance sales and started a career as a personal trainer.
My fitness philosophy…
…is that you can’t out-exercise a bad diet. Exercise is only one component of a healthy lifestyle. If you aren’t consuming the right kind of foods or the right amount, whether it be too little or too much, you won’t be able to achieve optimal results.
My clients would say…
…that I can convince them to do horrible things [in the gym] by being nice. I do it with a smile.
When I’m not in the gym, you can find me…
…with my fiancé playing with my dog, or spending time with family and friends.
The movie that inspires me is…
…It’s a Wonderful Life.
On my workout playlist, you’ll find…
…AWOLNATION, Jungle (Remix) by X Ambassadors, Jamie N Commons featuring Jay-Z, a little Fergalicious, and some Britney Spears.
The clients that inspire me…
…are the ones that come in and enjoy the hard work…and don’t let that derail their efforts.
You should embrace a lifestyle of fitness…
…because it makes you feel better about yourself. You enjoy life more. Treat the gym as a place to prime your body for the things you want to do for the rest of your day.
