The topic of Blue Zones has long fascinated me as part of my “longevity side-hobby” which eventually became the inspiration behind my series “The New 100 Longevity Campaign”.
Over the years I read everything I could find on the Blue Zones phenomena and during my deep dive I found an interesting commonality that each one of the five Blue Zone regions ticked off.
This common denominator seemed so apparent to me, but I couldn’t find it anywhere in the research or Blue Zones literature which both surprised and perplexed me that this finding was undocumented.
Not one to believe in coincidences, I delved in deeper like a good pseudo-scientist and researched dozens of other regions listed as the world’s highest reported prevalence of centenarians and I was excited to find all of them had the same common denominator.
A “Blue Zones X Factor” that’s undocumented until now …
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to discuss my findings on the show interview with Blue Zones OG Founder Dr. Michel Poulain.
During the interview Dr. Poulain shares how Sardinia became the first Blue Zone region documented, how his centenarian research began AND new undocumented information so fascinating I guarantee it will change how you view Blue Zones forever!
I invite you to watch Blue Zones: Undocumented Until Now and please take the time to read this behind-the-scenes article I wrote which references the details behind my Blue Zones Theory, as well as shares new information learned during my interview with Dr. Poulain that I researched after-the-fact filming the show.
Enjoy the episode and welcome to The New 100 Longevity Campaign.
